Senior Manager – Fund Accounting (Alternative Investment)
Our Client is a global leader providing corporate services, wealth management, and fund solutions, committed to fostering a dynamic, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Fund Accounting to oversee the accounting, tax, and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of Alternative Investment Funds and securitization funds. This role is an excellent opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities within an international and dynamic environment.
Your areas of responsibility:
- Lead the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of AIFs (Private Equity, Venture Capital) and securitization funds.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of annual accounts in accordance with Lux GAAP.
- Oversee periodic NAV calculations, CSSF reporting, shareholder register, income accruals, expenses, and corporate actions.
- Support annual audits, AED reporting, tax filings, and consolidation processes.
- Manage relationships with auditors, fund managers, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with OEC, CSSF, and Luxembourg regulations.
- Plan, review, and approve team deliverables while mentoring and supervising accountants and junior managers.
- Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Support transaction structuring (acquisitions, disposals, restructurings).
- Collaborate closely with corporate, compliance, and transaction teams.
- Drive process improvements and automation within the accounting function.
- Lead implementation of new fund accounting software and oversee UAT.
- Document workflows, escalation paths, and reporting procedures.
- Manage client relationships, address queries, and identify opportunities for additional services.
Your profile:
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in fund accounting and securitization funds.
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; OEC membership required.
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP (IFRS a plus).
- Solid understanding of Luxembourg tax and fund regulatory environment.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and complex portfolios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
- International and multicultural work experience.
- Fluency in English and French; other languages are an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting and reporting tools (e.g. Bob 50, Admin Consult, Fiscalyse, Nav One, Paxus, Entrilia, CSSF eDesk, Excel).
