Our client is a global provider of corporate, trust, and fund services, committed to delivering client-focused solutions. Their growing Luxembourg office maintains a human, fostering a professional yet close-knit working environment.
They are looking for a Depositary Senior Officer to oversee day-to-day depositary operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the onboarding of new funds while guiding junior team members.
Your areas of responsibility:
- Coordinate day-to-day depositary operations and provide guidance to team members.
- Perform key depositary controls, including:
- Ownership verification of AIF assets.
- Ensuring investor transactions comply with laws and AIF constitutional documents.
- Monitoring valuation calculations of AIF units or shares.
- Overseeing compliance with investment and leverage restrictions.
- Ensuring proper income application within AIFs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of AIF holdings.
- Monitor investment restrictions, NAV calculation, subscriptions, redemptions, dividends, and income distribution.
- Conduct daily cash flow monitoring and identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate initial and ongoing due diligence on various parties.
- Draft and regularly review Service Level Agreements.
- Actively participate in the onboarding of new funds.
- Identify, manage, and reassess business risks, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with new business procedures, including client due diligence documentation.
- Deliver high-quality service to clients and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
- Support relationships with intermediaries, service providers, auditors, law firms, banks, and central administrators.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members.
Your profile:
- 4 to 6 years of experience in the investment funds industry, preferably within depositary services for alternative funds.
- University degree in Finance, Legal, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in investment fund audits is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong IT skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients, stakeholders, regulators, and auditors.
