Our client is a fund management company that specializes in offering tailor-made investments in energy and infrastructure assets globally. The company manages over 25+ billion in assets and has approximately 100 international institutional investors across the world and 400 employees across 30 countries.

This outstanding opportunity will be an incredible journey for the employees as well as the company. In this role, you will play an important role in setting up robust finance processes and deliverables.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Relationship engagement with a service provider is to be the engine for all fund admins including accounting and controlling, thus a close collaboration and interaction with the service provider should be expected.
  • Besides working closely with the local Lux service provider, you will also interact and become an integrated part of the Fund Controlling HQ Team
  • Your focus will be on fund controlling for the company’s fund entities including AIVs, parallel vehicles, etc. In that respect, your overall primary role is to focus and take ownership of the controlling activities related to the funds’ reporting and financial performance e.g. controlling, analysis, and deviations
  • Support and sparring with the funds’ service provider in more complex bookkeeping matters
  • Controlling and QA of material (quarterly closes) prepared by the service provider including:
  • Cost analysis on fund-related expenses
  • Analysis of bank data at the fund level
  • Capitalization of fund-related expenses
  • Ensure that existing controlling processes (as done by the HQ) are being implemented and streamlined in a Lux context
  • Continuous focus on process improvements and process performance to support further growth
  • Various ad hoc analyses.

 

Your profile:

  • We are looking for a candidate with 3-4 years of experience in a similar position with a background from either audit, financial services, or fund admin in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in audit, accounting, or finance.
  • High proficiency in classic tasks within Financial Controlling
  • Advanced user of Excel and working with ERP systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Recognizes the need for being “hands-on”
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and the ability to turn complex issues into simple and understandable solutions
  • Experience in working and collaborating in a Lux service provider setup is considered an advantage, but not a requirement
