Associate – Fund Controller

 

This is a rare opportunity to move to the client side and join an international alternative asset management company and one of the leading market players in private equity / credit. Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the smooth running of the Fund activities from an operational / execution perspective.

• Coordinating the work of service providers, auditors, and advisors ensuring the smooth turnover of all transactions, using judgment to reach the desired outcomes.

• Project management for new initiatives and workstreams at the level of the Investment Platform entities/SPVs.

• Review monthly and quarterly reporting for the investment platform and internally managed AIFM.

• Review calculations and documentation for capital calls, distributions, and fund reporting.

• Review calculations and documentation for the bridge and other financing activities, including utilisations, repayments, and periodic overviews.

• Perform initial review of investment transaction and other legal documentation ahead of a review by the Board of Managers of relevant GPs and SPVs, as required.

• Review AML/KYC for banks and other stakeholders and perform additional checks as required.

• Assist the investor relation team with regards to potential investor queries.

• Assist with the administrative activity in connection with entity incorporations/liquidation, as required.

• Arrange review and execution of investment transactions and other legal documentation by the Board of Managers of relevant GPs and SPVs.

• Manage and coordinate board meetings with third-party service providers.

 

Your profile:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in the fund industry, preferably from a service provider, AIFM,

management company, or Big Four with experience in private equity funds, ideally in credit.

• Good knowledge of alternative fund industry, structures, and regulation (including AIFMD)

• CAIA, CFA, ACCA, ACA, or other relevant qualifications are a plus.

• Driven, proactive, and hands-on approach.

• Structured, organized, and efficient approach to work.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with stakeholders at various

levels of seniority.

• Collaborative and team-orientated while still being able to work independently.

• Fluent English is required, and an additional European language is advantageous.
