 Investment Manager – Private Equity

Our client is an alternative investment firm seeking an Investment Manager to join its growing and entrepreneurial investment team.  

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Investment Manager to lead and drive the analysis, execution, and management of a fund of funds Private Equity program with a strong emphasis on co-investments. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills (including LBO modelling), a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of the private equity market, and excellent communication skills in English.

 Your responsibilities:

  1. Investment Analysis and Recommendations:
  • Lead the execution support for analyzing new investment opportunities within Private Markets – both primaries and co-investments.
  • Develop comprehensive recommendations for the investment committee, ensuring high-quality analysis and strategic alignment with investment goals.
Portfolio Monitoring and Management:
  • Oversee the monitoring of existing commitments.
  • Manage and support data collection and the administration of a third-party database solution to track portfolio developments of underlying holdings.
Stakeholder Presentations and Reporting:
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of ad-hoc reports, including Limited Partner reporting, cash flow projections, and Annual General Meeting presentations.
  • Ensure all reports and presentations are insightful, accurate, and aligned with stakeholder requirements.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
  • Coordinate activities across both Private Equity and Private Credit fund commitments and co-investments.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

 Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification is preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of proven experience in Private Equity, with a strong track record in investment analysis and portfolio management
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken is a mandatory requirement
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience in LBO modelling is a must
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders
  • Hardworking and motivated to deliver a high-quality of work
  • Ability to think constructively and work independently while interacting with the teams on project related tasks
  • Attention to detail and good time management
  • High level of numeracy and understanding of corporate finance
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking
