Job Description

Our client is a well-established investment firm with a strong presence in the private debt market. Our client is known for their commitment to delivering high-quality financial performance and maintaining strong investor relationships. With a collaborative and forward-thinking culture, their Luxembourg office plays a key role in supporting global operations. They are now seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to enhance their finance team and contribute to the continued success of their private debt platforms

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and LUX GAAP.
  • Lead the preparation and review of investor financial reports.
  • Reconcile fund-level data, including capital calls, distributions, and allocations.
  • Coordinate annual audits and manage internal audit processes.
  • Monitor fund cash flow, liquidity, capital deployment, MMF deposits, and investor drawdowns.
  • Support financial modelling, including valuations and expected credit loss (ECL) calculations.
  • Monitor fund performance and IRR.
  • Oversee payment runs, invoice settlements, and cash management processes.
  • Supervise operations related to debt facilities and waterfall calculations.
  • Act as the main contact for investor financial queries.
  • Assist in preparing investor reports and presentations to ensure transparency and engagement.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards for private debt funds.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accountants to maintain high reporting standards.
  • Promote a collaborative and efficient team environment.

 

Your Profile

  • 7+ years in accounting or financial reporting, ideally within private debt or private equity.
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance; ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification required.
  • Strong understanding of private debt fund structures and credit instruments.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling; familiarity with eFront is a plus.
  • Clear and confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
