Job Description

Our client, a leading Asset Management firm, is seeking a Compliance Officer to take on the role of Responsable du Contrôle (RC) for its Luxembourg-based operations. This is a key position within a growing, international team focused on private market investments. The role combines regulatory oversight with hands-on involvement in AML/CTF frameworks, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the AML/CTF framework in line with Luxembourg and EU requirements
  • Oversee AML risk assessments for both the AIFM and the AIFs under management
  • Ensure effective customer and asset due diligence processes are in place and well-documented
  • Act as the main contact point for AML matters with regulatory authorities (CSSF, AED, FIU)
  • Submit required AML reports, questionnaires, and updates to regulators and internal Boards
  • Monitor and review AML controls implemented by service providers, including KPIs, site visits and sample testing
  • Advise on escalations, PEPs, high-risk clients, and AML-related queries from senior stakeholders
  • Lead the AML team across Luxembourg and London, ensuring effective collaboration
  • Develop and deliver AML training and keep staff updated on regulatory developments
  • Stay informed on changing regulations and support the implementation of new requirements

 

Your Profile

  • Strong experience in compliance, with a clear focus on AML/CTF within the financial services sector
  • Prior exposure to fund or asset management environments, ideally with private markets or private debt
  • Confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders and Boards
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Luxembourg regulations
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Leadership experience and a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset
