Senior Investment Accountant - Private Family Office

 

We are selecting an experienced and dynamic Senior Investment Accountant to join our client's prestigious Private Family Office based in Luxembourg.

As a key team member in the Finance Team , you will play a key role in the investment accounting of the family office.

For this position fluency in Russian and English is a must. Moreover you need to have at least 5 years experience working as an investment accountant either in the funds industry or in a family office.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare timely and accurate IRR, TVPI, Fair Value and other accounting output for periodic reporting (management and financial accounting)
  • Record accurately such accounting records as securities, positions, deposits, capital calls, distributions, commissions and other investment related transactions correspondingly to custodian’s statements.
  • Reconcile investment accounts and promptly research and correct any variances.
  • Identify exceptions affecting accounting records communicating same to management and assisting in their resolution (value dates vs transaction dates).
  • Assist, as assigned, in preparing audit schedules, financial statements or other reports.
  • Ad-hoc activity reports of investments.
  • Research, as assigned, certain securities portfolios for the purpose of ensuring proper accounting treatment (such as the nature of distributions and valuations).
  • Maintain proper and complete file for each investment
  • Actively participate in Wealth Management platform implementation.
  • Ensure that the required information is uploaded and updated on the relevant internal systems in place
  • Any other cognate duties that may from time to time be required which are appropriate to the role and business requirements.

 

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with exposure to finance or any other analytical course work
  • Fluency in English and Russian.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience dealing with various investment instruments (public and private) is essential (either in funds or family offices)
  • Excellent knowledge IFRS 9
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • You have strong numerical and analytical skills, you need to be capable of evaluating complex financial information
  • You are accurate and methodical, with great attention to detail
  • You have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
