Senior Debt Financing Accountant

 

Anderson Wise is pleased to assist a Real Estate investment firm in the search for a Senior Debt Financing Accountant.

 

The successful candidate will join a dynamic, international team. You will have the chance to join a company where collaboration with cross-functional colleagues is key to ensuring smooth finance operations.

 

You will be responsible for handling and centralising accounting and finance activities that are driven by the debt financing structure. You will work closely with Treasury team helping to ensure successful completion of transactions as well as accurate translation of the transactions into the financials.

 

 

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure precise compliance with refinancing, tax, and other processes across diverse jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate closely with advisors from top-tier firms and legal experts to address queries promptly and ensure timely delivery of financial due diligence reports.
  • Coordinate the refinancing process with relevant stakeholders, such as Investment Accounting, Tax, Debt Reporting, Legal & Compliance teams, and Blackstone teams.
  • Efficiently coordinate the various stages of the distribution process by closely collaborating with Investment Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Legal departments.
  • Manage the annual bank reporting process to ensure compliance with covenants towards lenders.
  • Accurately record all debt-related activities, including derivatives recording and deferred financing fees amortization, following IFRS and Group GAAP adjustments in FIS and Yardi systems.
  • Prepare and manage central accounting journals, including acquisition entries based on fund flows.
  • Contribute to the development of reconciliation reports (using tableau) to validate debt positions.
  • Collaborate with the Group Controlling team to ensure accurate reporting of all debt-related items.
  • Supervise and review the work performed by junior team members or outsourced resources.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for junior members and outsourced resources.
  • Take on ad-hoc projects as needed and requested.
  • By implementing these strategies, we aim to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency across our financial operations.

 

Your profile

 

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with Luxembourg tax laws and cross-border transactions is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications is essential, and experience with Yardi, FIS, and/or Tableau is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of lending instruments and related derivatives.
  • Thorough comprehension of tax mechanisms, including the ability to interpret and translate tax due diligence reports into financial terms.
  • Capability to maintain a holistic view while handling detailed tasks, such as back-to-back financings.
  • Adeptness in managing large volumes of data.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and departments.
  • Strong business acumen for prioritizing and addressing requests efficiently.
  • Dynamic and hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Organizational skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
