Having achieved remarkable success in Germany, our Client – a leading valuation firm in Europe for complex alternative investment – is expanding its operations to Luxembourg and seeking a highly experienced manager and valuation expert.

 

This is an opportunity to actively contribute to the continued success of a dynamic company, shaping the company’s prominence in the Luxembourg market through strategic valuation expertise.

 

As their VP Valuation, you will play a pivotal role in solidifying the Company's expertise locally and reinforcing its standing within the Luxembourg fund industry.

 

 

VP Valuation - Head of Valuation

 

 

Your areas of responsibility:

 

• Overseeing a team of 2 to 3 valuation experts based in their Luxembourg office
• Evaluating complex financial instruments
• Facilitating the onboarding process for new clients
• Assisting sales in understanding customer requirements and articulating the services offered by the Company
• Identifying and conveying local client demands to the quant development team in Germany, ensuring new solutions fulfil all their requirements through testing.
• Providing daily customer support including price challenges, audit support and change requests.
• Preparing for and representing the Company at workshops and conferences

 

 

Your profile:

 

• A university degree (master's or higher) in a relevant field.
• +10 years of experience in Luxembourg, preferably for one of the large audit firms, consulting firms, banks, or fund managers.
• Knowledge and experience of valuation of complex financial instruments especially private equity, private debt, and alternative investments.
• Knowledge and experience of the regulatory environment related to valuation and reporting (AIFMD, CSSF circulars, etc)
• A strong network within the Luxembourg fund industry is an asset
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
• German and French language skills would be an advantage
• Dynamic, autonomous and self-starter
