Compliance Officer – AML/KYC

Location: Luxembourg

Recruiting on behalf of a leading private bank

The Compliance Officer (AML/KYC team) supports the Chief Compliance Officer, ensuring compliance with regulations related to onboarding and managing client relationships, and combating money laundering and terrorism financing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting due diligence for new account openings and client onboarding
  • Performing periodic reviews and client risk classification
  • Advising client relationship managers on compliance matters
  • Filing SARs/STRs with the Luxembourg FIU and handling requests from auditors and authorities
  • Investigating and escalating compliance issues to manage regulatory and reputation risk
  • Supporting regulatory assessments, risk analysis, and group compliance initiatives
  • Participating in staff training on compliance policies and regulatory updates

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • 3–10 years of experience in banking, ideally in Compliance, Audit, or Legal
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, KYC, MiFID, and fraud prevention
  • Familiarity with account opening and corporate documentation
  • Fluent in French and English; other languages (Spanish, Dutch) are a plus
