As part of their continued focus on compliance and client integrity, our Client is seeking a seasoned Compliance Officer (AML / Monitoring) to strengthen their Compliance team and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.

Your areas of responsibility:
- Perform name screening controls of the client database and payment transactions (SWIFT), processing alerts as needed.
- Monitor and review client transactions (KYT), including pre-approvals, blocked accounts, and high-risk jurisdiction activities.
- Process alerts from the internal fraud prevention tool.
- Support the Chief Compliance Officer, Deputy CCO, and team on daily tasks and compliance-related projects.
- Contribute to the resolution of audit measures and the performance of compliance controls (CMP and ad hoc).
- Conduct monitoring in line with MiFID regulations, focusing on Conflicts of Interest and inducement controls.
- Provide ongoing compliance support and guidance to Client Relationship Managers.
- Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity/Transaction Reports (SARs/STRs) to the Luxembourg FIU as required.
- Manage and escalate compliance issues to mitigate regulatory and reputational risk.
- Participate in regulatory assessments, risk analyses, and gap assessments.
- Contribute to Group compliance projects and ensure regular training across the organisation.
Your profile:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in banking, ideally in Compliance, Audit, or Legal.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or Business Management.
- In-depth knowledge of compliance topics such as AML/CFT, KYC, MiFID, and Fraud.
- Comfortable with account opening processes, corporate documentation, and business structures.
- Fluent in French and English; other languages such as Spanish or Dutch are an asset
