Our Client is a globally active venture capital firm backing high-potential, fast-growing companies across a range of sectors and stages. Known for its entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to operational excellence, the Company fosters a collaborative culture.

They are now looking to appoint a strategic and hands-on Conducting Officer – Finance to lead the financial operations of their international management companies and affiliated entities.

 

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Lead all aspects of global management company accounting
  • Supervise and mentor a high-performing finance team
  • Manage the quarterly close process, including internal financial reporting and variance analysis for senior leadership
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital and cash planning for global operations
  • Liaise with external audit firms to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits (Germany and Luxembourg)
  • Oversee tax reporting and VAT filings in collaboration with internal and external tax teams
  • Collaborate with fund accounting, legal, and HR to streamline processes and support cross-functional initiatives
  • Drive improvements and integrations of financial systems (e.g., accounting software, expense tools)
  • Deliver strategy-specific financial reporting
  • Present quarterly budget vs. actual reports to senior leadership

 

Your profile:

  • +8 years’ experience in management company or corporate accounting, ideally within venture capital or private equity
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of operational finance within a multinational corporate environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and optimise accounting functions
  • Experience with platforms such as NetSuite and Tipalti
  • Fluency in English is essential; German language skills are highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational abilities
