Having achieved remarkable success in Germany, our Client – a leading valuation firm in Europe for complex alternative investment – is expanding its operations to Luxembourg and seeking a skilled and German-speaking valuation expert to join their team.

 

This is an opportunity to actively contribute to the continued success of a dynamic company, supporting the expanding team of experts and helping to establish the company's presence in the Luxembourg market.

 

As their Senior Valuation Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality valuation support, working closely with senior team members, and catering to the specific needs of a diverse client base.  Your contribution will solidify the Company's expertise within the Luxembourg fund industry.

 

 

Senior Valuation Manager – German-speaking

 

 

Your areas of responsibility:

 

  • Evaluating complex financial instruments (liquid & illiquid assets)
  • Onboarding of new customers
  • Assisting sales in understanding customer requirements and explaining the services offered by the Company.
  • Identifying and communicating local customer demands to the quant development department abroad. Testing and making sure the new solutions fulfil all the requirements.
  • Daily customer support including price challenges, audit support and change requests.
  • Preparing and participating in workshops and conferences on behalf of the Company

 

 

Your profile:

 

  • +7 years of experience working in Luxembourg for one of the large audit firms, consulting firms, banks, or fund managers.
  • University degree (master's or PhD) in relevant areas (mathematics, finance)
  • Experience and knowledge of valuation of complex financial instruments especially private equity, private debt, and alternative investments.
  • Experience and knowledge of the regulatory environment regarding valuation, risk and reporting (AIFMD, CSSF circulars, etc…)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • German language skills are a must
  • A solid understanding of the Luxembourg market would be considered an asset.
