Financial Controller

 

Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking private equity management company committed to achieving financial excellence and delivering superior results.

They are seeking an ambitious and skilled Financial Controller to work closely with the Finance Director and drive financial operations to new heights.

 

Your areas of responsibility:

Document Flow and Administration (35%)

  • Organise and maintain financial documents, contracts, and electronic archives, ensuring completeness.
  • Coordinate documentation flow for multiple entities and ensure smooth invoice processing across departments.
  • Monitor communication with suppliers, oversee incoming invoices and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and proper tracking.
  • Coordinate fund recharges and maintain appropriate workflows between entities.
  • Manage invoice processing and timely payments, collaborating with Fund administrators (GP) and local assistants.

 

Treasury (35%)

  • Ensure invoices are paid correctly and on time, either by processing payments directly or coordinating with assistants and fund administrators.
  • Perform daily cash management tasks to monitor account balances, track expenditures, and ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Manage deposits, optimize cash utilization, and ensure proper cash management processes.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting related to accounts receivable collection.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the rolling cash flow forecast for 30 entities within the group to provide insight into cash position for senior management.

 

Controlling (25%)

  • Oversee expense recharges (e.g., travel, subscriptions, insurance), ensuring proper allocation and accurate processing.
  • Assist in implementing expense control measures to ensure operational efficiency and cost management.
  • Support the management and troubleshooting of expense management software for smooth processing of expense reports and allocations.

 

Audit Support and Ad-Hoc Tasks (5%)

  • Provide support during audit processes by preparing necessary documents and resolving audit queries.
  • Assist in preparing management reports, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Support the financial team with various ad-hoc tasks, including overflow work and special projects.

 

Your profile:

  • Up to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Mathematics, or Economics.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of French is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong accounting knowledge with exceptional attention to detail and a curious mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
