Job Description

Our client, a prominent Private Equity investment firm, is seeking a skilled Financial Accounting specialist.

As a Financial Accounting specialist, you will be responsible for managing financial processes and controls for the Luxembourg AIFM and its associated branches. This role emphasises accuracy, timeliness, and the use of technology to enhance financial reporting and analysis.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounts payable, ensuring smooth integration and resolving aged items.
  • Manage invoice processing (monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc) and collaborate with Fund Finance teams.
  • Drive process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Proactively manage stakeholders, communicate effectively, and challenge existing processes to drive improvements.
  • Adapt and grow with the evolving business landscape.
  • Provide VAT and CIT information to third-party providers, and coordinate insurance renewals and local regulatory filings.
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger for Luxembourg and its European branches
  • Execute month-end accounting processes, prepare cash and GL reconciliation files, board reports, and financial statements, and manage ad-hoc financial projects.
  • Facilitate internal and external audit processes and support payroll submissions in collaboration with HR and external providers.
  • Leverage advanced technology to automate financial processes and enhance reporting tools.
  • Identify and mitigate potential financial and process risks.

 

Your Profile

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Fluency in English is a must.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial control expertise.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, including month-end processes.
  • Advanced technology and data management skills for process automation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • An innovative approach and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth, embracing change and new opportunities.
