Anderson Wise is pleased to assist a well-established Alternative Investment Company in its search for their Global Head of Tax Compliance.
You will have a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating tax compliance for their subsidiaries across several jurisdictions and various asset classes (Real Estate, Private Equity and Infrastructure).
The position also includes a great amount of project management in relation to a new software platform.
If you are an expert in multi-jurisdictional tax compliance (direct tax) with great project management skills and strong communication skills, this role offers an excellent opportunity to lead in a high-impact capacity.
The Luxembourg office is conveniently located close to public transport and offers a nice and international work environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the outsourcing of global tax return preparation and tax filings, ensuring compliance for direct and indirect investments across various jurisdictions.
- Review tax computations prepared by external service providers and address any queries.
- Partner with external advisors and tax authorities to resolve compliance issues and audits.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks.
- Develop, document, and implement processes to improve tax controls.
- Oversee and implement technology solutions for tax compliance to optimise controls and efficiency.
- Manage tax provision positions and coordinate tax payments in conjunction with other internal teams across various jurisdictions.
- Stay informed on global tax reforms impacting tax reporting and disclosure requirements for our subsidiaries.
Your Profile
- Degree in Accounting or Law with a tax specialisation
- Extensive experience in tax compliance within real estate, private equity, and infrastructure across several jurisdictions (Europe, US)
- At least 8 years of experience, ideally within Big 4 or reputable asset management, investment fund, or multinational firms.
- Strong project management and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Fluency in English is a must.
