Director Financial Reporting & Accounting

 

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Manage the Financial Reporting team of 12 (with 3 direct reports)
  • Oversight of IFRS consolidated reporting: guidelines, format, timetable, review, compliance and deliverables
  • Oversight of the reporting compliance (finance and other local reporting) of the Group across various jurisdictions and reporting standards: Lux GAAP, UK GAAP, IFRS. Guidelines, format, timetable, review, compliance and deliverables
  • External audit coordination for the Group, including review of the audit fees, communication with the audit committee, etc.
  • Review audit technical memos on reporting matters, e.g. investment entity, IFRS 9, related parties, going concern, etc.
  • Ad hoc finance-related projects.
  • Direct report to the CFO

 

Your profile:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial reporting, with Big 4 and in-house roles
  • University degree in Finance AND an ACCA / CPA qualification (must have).
  • Extensive experience in IFRS Reporting, including consolidation under IFRS 10 exemption for Investment Firms.
  • Proficiency in accounting entries, elimination adjustments, and complex group consolidations.
  • Solid understanding of valuations for listed and non-listed financial instruments.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, and other regulatory reporting standards, as well as experience working with auditors is a plus.
  • Proven experience leading an in-house finance team, with strong interpersonal skills for supporting and coaching junior staff and fostering a constructive environment.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
