Anderson Wise is pleased to present an excellent opportunity for a Junior Accountant to join a well-established team in Luxembourg. Our client, located in the prime area of Luxembourg – Cloche d'Or, is looking for an enthusiastic individual to support their accounting department.

 

This entry-level position offers a great chance to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting, working closely with experienced professionals. The Junior Accountant will assist in maintaining the company's financial records and support different accounting functions. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and provides an ideal stepping stone for career growth in accounting.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Help process and verify A/P invoices
  • Update vendor information and address vendor queries
  • Support A/P close activities under guidance
  • Assist in preparing payment documents
  • Help record bank transactions and learn reconciliation processes
  • Prepare remittance advice for vendors
  • Aid in collecting and organizing employee payroll information
  • Learn to book payroll transactions and understand payroll calculations
  • Assist in issuing sales invoices and updating records
  • Help monitor aging reports and learn about debt collection processes
  • Participate in maintaining sub-ledgers
  • Assist during month-end and year-end closings
  • Support audit preparations as directed
  • Take on various administrative tasks to support the team

 

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates welcome)
  • From 1 year of accounting experience or relevant internships
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
  • Good Excel skills and willingness to learn new software and technologies
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team and eagerness to learn from experienced colleagues
  • Well-organized with good time management skills
  • Proactive attitude and enthusiasm for taking on new challenges
  • Ability to work in a diverse, international environment
