Job Opportunity: Head of Legal – Luxembourg

 

An international firm based in Luxembourg, renowned for providing corporate administration services to a global clientele, is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Head of Legal.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Legal Function Management: Lead the legal team and oversee all legal operations, including contract law, corporate law, compliance, and tax law.
  • Regulatory Interaction: Engage with regulatory bodies on company and client-related legal matters.
  • Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal counsel to clients, advising on risks and legal implications, while keeping abreast of legislative changes.
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and implement the legal department’s strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage legal risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • External Collaboration: Manage relationships with external legal advisers and consultants.
  • Document Management: Ensure proper storage, archiving, and management of legal documents and databases.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field. Additional qualifications in corporate law are an advantage.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in Luxembourg, preferably in international companies, large corporate administrators, or law firms. Proven leadership experience is essential.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of corporate, tax, and labour law in Luxembourg. Fluency in Russian and English is required, with knowledge of French or German as a plus.
  • Compliance: Experience in implementing anti-money laundering, compliance, and sanction regulations.
  • Ethics and Confidentiality: Strong commitment to legal ethics and data confidentiality.
