Job Opportunity: Head of Accounting – Luxembourg

 

An international firm based in Luxembourg, specializing in corporate administration services for a global clientele, is seeking a highly skilled Head of Accounting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Leadership: Direct the accounting team and manage all accounting operations, including tax compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory filings.
  • Regulatory Interaction: Liaise with regulatory bodies on company and client accounting matters.
  • Accounting Advisory: Offer expert advice on accounting risks and compliance to clients.
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and implement the accounting department's strategy aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage accounting-related risks to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • External Collaboration: Oversee relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and other key stakeholders.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper archiving and database management.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field. Additional accounting or auditing certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience: 7-10 years in accounting, with a minimum of 5 years in Luxembourg. Experience with international audit/accounting firms or large corporate administrators is preferred. Proven leadership experience is essential.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Lux GAAP, fluent in Russian and English. Knowledge of French or German is a plus.
  • Compliance: Experience with anti-money laundering and other compliance regulations.
