Our client is a leading venture capital investor seeking a highly detail-oriented and technically proficient Fund Controller to join their finance team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to ensure the financial integrity and operational excellence of their investment funds. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment and is confident in navigating complex accounting scenarios.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage the full range of fund operations, including capital calls, distributions, and carry/waterfall calculations.
• Prepare accurate and timely investor reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory and fund requirements.
• Support the preparation of audited financial statements and manage the annual audit process.
• Liaise with colleagues, investors, auditors, and external service providers, clearly explaining financial concepts and requirements.
• Review legal and financial documents in German, maintaining strong relationships with German-speaking Limited Partners (LPs).
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

Your Profile

• Detail-oriented with strong technical understanding of fund accounting (IFRS/US GAAP).
• Fluent in German (C1/C2) and English, with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive problem-solver, able to work independently.
• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) or near completion.
• 3-5 years’ experience in fund accounting or financial control within private equity or venture capital.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with eFront, Investran, or similar software is required.
