Accounting Supervisor
Our client, located in the center of Luxembourg City, is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee all internal financial and accounting activities of the group.
Knowledge of French is necessary for integration into the team, and proficiency in English is important for interaction with external parties.

Your Responsibilities:
- Supervise all financial and accounting tasks across the organization, including managing, leading, and reviewing the accountant’s work (invoicing, client and supplier accounting, expense reimbursements, bank reconciliations, and aged balance follow-ups).
- Oversee accounting transactions, including journal entries, provisions, inventory adjustments, and fixed assets management, while maintaining accounting system configurations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and develop financial reports, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and financial summaries.
- Ensure compliance with tax and VAT declarations, collaborating with external service providers when necessary, and liaising with external accountants, payroll providers, and auditors.
- Prepare group consolidation reports and ensure compliance with corporate regulations while staying updated on fiscal, social, and legal changes.
- Work closely with the financial controller on cash flow and analytical reporting.
- Handle document filing and archiving
Your Profile:
- University degree or Master’s from a Business School in Accounting, Audit, or Finance.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in external audit followed by an in-house accounting role in a commercial group in Luxembourg
- Experience in an audit firm is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of national accounting standards (Lux GAAP; French Gaap being an asset).
- Fluent in French with a very good level of English.
- Knowledge of accounting software/ERP systems such as Demasy is a plus.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel.
- A sharp analytical mind with a strategic approach to problem-solving.
- A dedicated and proactive work ethic, paired with a keen eye for detail.
- Dependable, thorough, and endlessly curious, with the confidence to work independently.
