Our client, a German owner-managed private equity firm, specialises in real assets and operates a fully integrated AIF Management Company in Luxembourg.
To strengthen their growing Luxembourg office, we are seeking a Portfolio Manager fluent in German. This role will focus on overseeing investment activities, liquidity management, and reporting processes while ensuring compliance with the fund’s strategy.
Portfolio Manager – German Speaking
Your responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
- Review and validate investment proposals for compliance with the fund’s strategy and prospectus.
- Monitor portfolio manager decisions and ensure adherence to investment guidelines.
Liquidity Management:
- Forecast and plan capital calls and distributions to investors.
- Oversee the financial and liquidity management of Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs).
Investment Analysis:
- Assess target company investments considering factors such as country, sector, currency, investment type, and vintage year.
- Ensure portfolio diversification and compliance with investment restrictions.
Reporting & Quality Control:
- Support quarterly investment reporting and perform quality checks.
- Provide regular updates to the Conducting Officer of Portfolio Management.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Close monitoring of central administrator and other service providers
- Coordinating and communicating with investment advisors, depositary banks, auditors and central administrators
- Attending and participating in AIFM board meetings
Your profile:
- Ideally 2-6 years of relevant experience in the fund industry of Luxembourg with a focus on alternative investments
- Completed university studies in Business Administration or related fields
- Fluency in German and English
- Ability to drive the processes and to defend work results
- Very high attention to detail
- Stress-resilient with a high respect for deadlines
- Strong communication skills with a good team spirit
