Job Description

Our client, a boutique PE firm specializing in Real Estate investments across Europe, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Luxembourg.
 
This is an opportunity for a proactive and hands-on professional to play a critical role in overseeing the firm's long-term property holdings.

Your areas of responsibility:
  • Managing the accounting for a significant property portfolio, ensuring substantial rental income and overseeing high-value assets with considerable exit potential.
  • Performing hands-on day-to-day accounting tasks, with minimal reliance on external providers, ensuring strategic thinking and direction remain internal.
  • Overseeing the financial aspects of a lean team, supported by a Luxembourg-based finance coordinator who handles payments and treasury functions.
  • Navigating the firm through its current transition phase, focusing on winding down complex legacy investments while maintaining and stabilizing the remaining property portfolio.
  • Ensuring compliance with Luxembourg financial regulations and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Demonstrating a strong self-starter mentality and leadership skills to manage and drive accounting operations independently.
Your profile:
  • Minimum of 7 years of of relevant hands-on experience in substantive accounting roles, rather than purely managerial positions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting standards including Lux GAAP, and experience with international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Experience in managing real estate investments or property holding businesses is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional language skills, particularly in French or German, are a strong advantage
  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail.
