Compliance Officer – AML/KYC

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer (AML/KYC) to join our International Private Bank compliance team in Luxembourg. Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.
Your responsibilities:
- Perform due diligence for new account openings and client onboarding, including documentation review, risk classification, and liaison with front office teams
- Conduct periodic client reviews and assist with ongoing relationship management
- Advise client relationship managers on compliance matters
- Draft and submit SARs/STRs to the Luxembourg FIU and manage requests from regulators, authorities, and auditors
- Escalate and investigate compliance issues to mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risks
- Contribute to regulatory gap analyses, risk assessments, and follow-up actions
- Participate in compliance-related group projects and initiatives
- Support training programs to ensure staff are up to date with compliance policies and regulatory changes
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or Business Management
- 3-7+ years of experience in banking, ideally in Compliance, Audit, or Legal
- Strong knowledge of AML-CFT/KYC regulations; familiarity with MiFID, fraud prevention, and corporate structures
- Proficiency in French and English (Spanish or Dutch is an asset)
