Job Description

Our Client is an innovative stablecoin startup expanding its operations to Luxembourg and is setting up a new office.

They are seeking a motivated AML/KYC Analyst to join their Compliance team. This role will be key in ensuring adherence to Luxembourg’s anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) regulations, as well as CSSF requirements.

 

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) in line with AML/CTF laws and regulations.
  • Verify customer identities and assess the purpose and intended nature of business relationships.
  • Conduct KYC checks during onboarding and assess customer risk profiles based on geography, industry, and transaction patterns.
  • Monitor customer transactions for unusual or suspicious activity; maintain and update customer records.
  • Ensure compliance with AML/CTF frameworks, including CSSF Circulars, and assist in preparing reports for regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Officer and internal teams to ensure seamless KYC processes.
  • Escalate high-risk cases or potential red flags to the Compliance Officer or MLRO.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of KYC policies, procedures, and tools; stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry best practices.

 

Your profile:

  • 2–4 years of experience in KYC, AML, or compliance roles, preferably within EMIs, CASPs, or financial services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Luxembourg’s AML/CTF laws, including the Law of 12 November 2004 (as amended) and CSSF Circulars 17/650, 21/788, 22/806.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency with KYC/AML tools and systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French; knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CAMS or ICA qualifications, are advantageous.
