Job Description

Our client is an international investment firm offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fund Controller to join their team in Luxembourg. This role will give you the chance to work closely with international stakeholders, handle complex fund structures, and take ownership of key financial and administrative processes. If you are detail-oriented, technically strong, and keen to play an important role in the financial operations of a growing firm, this could be the right move for you.

Your Responsibilities

  • Administer and review the bookkeeping (under Lux GAAP and IFRS) of the fund, the management company, and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) in collaboration with external service providers.
  • Prepare and maintain capital calls and distribution waterfalls.
  • Coordinate payments and assist with daily administration, including managing day-to-day accounting transactions and reconciling with bank positions.
  • Oversee the invoicing process, manage receivables, maintain cash-flow files, and support the administration of both Luxembourg and international SPVs (including coordination of international payments, rent, and service charge collections).
  • Supervise and review VAT and tax returns with the support of local service providers.
  • Liaise with auditors, lawyers, tax advisors, and accounting service providers across Luxembourg and other jurisdictions.
  • Assist with the cash-flow management and general administration of international SPVs.

Your Profile

  • University degree (Bachelors or higher) in Finance or Accounting.
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a Real Estate Fund, public accounting firm, or trust company.
  • 12 years of consolidation experience under IFRS (capable of preparing simple consolidations).
  • Experience supporting the onboarding of Real Estate deals.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to handle complex products.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both local and international teams, as well as service providers.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
