Job Description

Our Client, a leading provider of premium accounting, fund administration, and investor reporting services to Real Estate and Private Equity fund clients, is seeking a Head of Depositary to lead their Luxembourg Depositary business.

This role combines strategic leadership, operational excellence, and client management and is pivotal in shaping the future of their Depositary function. The Company fosters a leadership-focused culture with a strong emphasis on professional development, collaboration, and delivering first-class client service.

 

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Define and implement the strategic plan for the Depositary business in Luxembourg.
  • Act as the key contact for CSSF and industry groups on depositary matters.
  • Oversee all operational, financial, governance, and strategic aspects of the depositary function.
  • Lead and support a team of depositary managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure client deliverables, deadlines, and quality standards are met consistently.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a senior representative in client meetings.
  • Drive process improvements and develop an operational excellence model.
  • Lead business development efforts, including pitch meetings, proposals, and RFP responses.
  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Provide coaching, leadership, and performance monitoring for team members.
  • Contribute to company-wide leadership initiatives, including thought leadership and industry events

 

Your profile:

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably in depositary services.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Law or similar field.
  • Solid team management experience with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Deep knowledge of AIFMD, Luxembourg regulatory framework, and general PSF procedures.
  • Experienced in audit techniques and client-facing service delivery.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; French or German is a plus.
  • Ideally approved by the CSSF in a similar capacity.
