Job Description
Our Client is a trusted provider of independent depositary services to authorised fund managers, They are seeking an experienced professional to help lead regulatory strategy and technical risk oversight across their growing Depositary and Funds business.
Your areas of responsibility:
- Collaborate with CRO, CCO, senior management, and the board to develop and implement a comprehensive regulatory risk strategy and framework.
- Lead the Company’s approach to complex regulatory matters, maintaining proactive communication with local regulators.
- Represent the Company at industry forums, advocating for key regulatory positions and business interests.
- Take an active role in client meetings, discussing regulatory strategies and market developments.
- Support client engagement initiatives and contribute to the development of new product offerings and regulatory change implementation.
- Interpret regulatory developments, advise on compliance, and communicate updates effectively across the business.
- Oversee discretionary matters in Luxembourg, including investigations, breaches, and suspension events in coordination with the EDD team.
- Provide regulatory support and training to internal teams, helping implement change and uplift projects.
- Lead a second-line risk team, with a focus on improving regulatory controls and delivering robust oversight.
- Develop and manage key regulatory metrics (KRIs, RAS) and ensure consistent governance reporting to risk committees and joint depositary forums.
Your profile:
- Strong experience in the funds industry, with a deep understanding of collective investment schemes.
- Proven expertise in regulatory frameworks and depositary bank responsibilities.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients, stakeholders, and regulators.
- Proven ability to build collaborative internal and external relationships.
- Resilient under pressure, able to manage multiple initiatives while maintaining high standards.
- Committed to knowledge sharing and supporting the development of regulatory understanding across the business.
