Job Description

As part of a leading international fund administration provider, my client is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and revenue growth. This role is pivotal in converting prospects into long-term clients, engaging with key stakeholders, and strengthening their market presence in Luxembourg and across the European private capital sector.

The successful candidate will manage the full business development cycle, from initial engagement through to signed agreements, working closely with internal teams. The role also involves regular travel to meet prospective clients, intermediaries, and industry influencers, as well as attending key networking events and conferences.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities across Private Equity, Real Assets, and Private Credit markets.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, leveraging relationships to drive referrals and introductions.
  • Conduct meetings with prospective clients and key market influencers, presenting tailored solutions and value propositions.
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality client proposals in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Maintain and contribute to a robust pipeline of potential business, ensuring alignment with team and company-wide targets.
  • Represent the business at industry events, fostering brand awareness and engagement within relevant markets.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, marketing, and other business development colleagues to refine strategies and enhance business development tools.

 

Your profile:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the private capital or alternative investments market, ideally within Private Equity, Real Assets, or Private Debt/Credit.
  • Strong existing network of senior decision-makers within asset management and investment firms.
  • Fluent German language skills (spoken and written) are essential as well as fluency in English.
  • Proven ability to generate and close new business opportunities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high-achievement mindset and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork ethos, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals.
  • Strong IT proficiency and ability to produce high-standard presentation materials.
  • Additional language skills are advantageous but not essential.
