Legal Officer – Insurance
Our client is an insurance / reinsurance firm based in Luxembourg-city and is currently looking for a Legal Officer. You will report to the Legal Manager and will work in a pleasant, and team-oriented work environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide support to the operational teams, both in the development of new business and in the Client, portfolio assigned.
- Participate in the identification and evaluation of the various compliance risks by proposing any recommendations to reduce the risks observed, particularly in terms of AML-CFT.
- Relaying the legal assistants, you deal with complex issues relating to the governance and will ensure, where necessary, the link with the supervisory authorities.
- Ensure legal and regulatory monitoring, which allows you to become aware of any legislation and regulations likely to impact the company, its activity, and its customers (in particular Solvency II, AML/CFT, GDPR, etc.)
- Prepare the various training materials for the company's operational teams and customers and contribute to the delivery of these training courses.
- Draft, analyse, and negotiate the various contracts concluded by the company, including those with customers, while ensuring their compliance.
Your profile:
- University degree in Law
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a legal position in Luxembourg.
- Analytical, synthetic, and solution-oriented mind.
- Endowed with great autonomy, dynamic, and rigorous.
- Rigor and responsiveness with a sense of confidentiality, in addition to being proactive, combined with very good interpersonal skills.
- Sense of customer service.
- Sense of organization and priorities, ability to anticipate and prioritize emergencies.
- Fluent in French and a very good level of legal and business English.
