As one of the first hires in Luxembourg, you will play a crucial role in setting up the office by ensuring regulatory compliance in the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency sector while establishing and managing financial operations.

Authorised Manager – Compliance / Finance

 

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the institution’s operations, ensuring effectiveness, soundness, and prudence.
  • Ensure activities align with the institution’s strategies, guiding principles, and applicable Luxembourg and European regulations.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement and maintain robust compliance policies and procedures, including AML and CTF measures.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and monitor compliance risks related to stablecoin operations.
  • Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Critically assess proposals and information for decision-making, ensuring alignment with long-term financial interests.
  • Monitor and manage risks, implementing mitigation strategies to protect financial health.
  • Maintain solvency and liquidity in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness across the institution.
  • Aligning local operations with the company’s global finance strategy.
  • Provide financial insights to the board of directors for informed decision-making.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the management team, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
  • Report to the Competent Authority and the board of directors.

 

 

Your profile:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in financial services, with senior management experience in a financial institution (preferably an electronic money institution).
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the financial regulatory environment in Luxembourg and experience dealing with regulatory bodies.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements and ability to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
  • Solid background in finance, accounting, and investment management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English is required, French or German is a plus.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Strong risk management capabilities with a proven track record in strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and direct a team.
  • Critical thinker with a constructive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
