New Position - Tax Partner in a Law Firm

 

Our client is an international law firm with a branch in Luxembourg. They are top-tier in their home country and are seeking a Tax Partner to join their growing team and expand their operations in Luxembourg.

 

Position Overview

An experienced and entrepreneurial Tax Partner will join our client's Luxembourg branch. Their role is integral to expanding the firm’s presence in the Luxembourg market and developing its tax advisory services. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong track record in Luxembourg tax law and a focus on business development, collaboration, and innovation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Tax Advisory and Client Services

  • Provide expert tax advice across a range of areas, including corporate taxation, investment fund structuring, and cross-border transactions.
  • Deliver tailored solutions to meet complex client needs and ensure compliance with Luxembourg tax regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.

 

Business Development

  • Drive the growth of the tax practice by actively engaging in business development activities and building a new client base in the Luxembourg market.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with the firm’s Investment Funds and Corporate Law teams, leveraging existing expertise to cross-sell services.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, seminars, and networking opportunities to enhance its reputation and visibility.

 

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Work closely with the firm’s local and international teams to align strategic goals and promote cross-disciplinary synergies.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to the firm's strategic initiatives and positioning in the Luxembourg legal market.

 

Practice Management

  • Take a leading role in managing and growing the firm’s tax practice in Luxembourg.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality services that align with the firm’s standards and client expectations.
  • Monitor and address changes in tax legislation and regulatory developments that impact clients and the firm’s operations.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Extensive Experience: Significant experience in Luxembourg tax law, with a strong focus on advisory work for corporate clients and investment funds.
  • Full Qualifications: Admission to the Luxembourg Bar and other relevant legal or tax certifications.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: A proven ability to develop and grow a client base and generate new business opportunities.
  • Collaboration Skills: A team-oriented professional who thrives in a cross-disciplinary environment and excels at fostering collaboration.
  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing complex client portfolios.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English (other languages, particularly French and German, are a strong advantage).
