Job Description

Regulatory Compliance Officer – Private Bank, Luxembourg

We are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our client's prestigious international private bank in Luxembourg. In this key role, you will ensure the bank adheres to local and international regulations, focusing on mitigating financial crime risks in private banking.

 

Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you'll be responsible for maintaining compliance standards and managing regulatory risks in line with the bank's policies.

 

Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure compliance with regulations across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Manage financial crime risks, including CTF and sanctions compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on compliance matters to senior management and regulators.
  • Support training initiatives to promote a culture of compliance and ethics.

 

Your Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • At least 5+ years of experience in banking compliance, ideally with a focus on regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Luxembourg and EU financial regulations, including MiFID II, EMIR, and Market Abuse regulations.
  • Proven experience working with Relationship Managers and front office teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional fluency in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
