Finance Accountant Position
Here is a fantastic chance to become part of a medium-sized office within an international group specializing in Real Estate investments across Europe. As the Luxembourg branch continues to expand, the Finance team seeks to welcome a new team member.
You will report to an Investment Controller and collaborate closely with colleagues from diverse teams based in Luxembourg, the UK, and the US. This role offers you the opportunity to enhance your expertise in Real Estate accounting and gain valuable insights into the field by participating in the growth of underlying assets and their ongoing operations.
Your Role:
- Overseeing accounts payable (AP), which includes:
- Coordinating invoice approvals
- Managing AP bookkeeping
- Executing payments and preparing bank transfers
- Maintaining bank accounts and communication with the bank
- Conducting bank reconciliations
- Compiling consolidation reports
- Creating cash analysis reports
- Handling day-to-day bookkeeping, including tasks such as:
- Managing prepaid items and accruals
- Recording payroll-related entries (recharges)
- Updating loan records and preparing interest calculations
- Assisting in the meticulous review of external (including foreign) reporting packs and uploading them in Yardi
- Preparing financial statements for Holding companies under the supervision of the Senior Finance Associate, and performing GAAP conversions when necessary
- Compiling annual impairment analyses for Property and Holding companies
- Undertaking general company administration, including eCDF and eRCS filings, along with VAT returns
- Maintaining regular communication with both internal parties (tax, legal, treasury) and external entities (service providers, auditors, tax advisors)
- Managing various administrative duties
- Contributing to financial projects as needed
- Undertaking other additional responsibilities delegated by the Director of Financial Control or Senior Accountants
Your Profile:
- Possession of a degree or diploma in Accounting
- ACCA or equivalent certification would be advantageous (we will support ongoing studies for part-qualified individuals)
- Prior accounting experience in sectors such as private equity, real estate, domiciliation companies, or prominent accounting firms ("big four") is desirable
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential (knowledge of French or German would be a plus, but not mandatory)
- Skilled in using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong motivation to excel within a challenging and dynamic environment
- Methodical and detail-oriented approach
- Demonstrates flexibility, proactivity, and a positive attitude
- Exhibits strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Capable of working under tight deadlines and pressure, while upholding meticulous attention to detail
- Familiarity with Yardi 7S and/or BOB 50 Expert is advantageous
