Junior AML Administrator – Private Equity investments

Your Responsibilities

 

In your role, you will gain a sound understanding of the AML implications as well as the ultimate beneficial ownership and control approach to the company‘s structures, in order to be able to accurately and efficiently respond to AML queries.

 

Reporting to the Senior AML Officer, you will be part of the Internal Management Administration Team which provides support in various areas, including Anti Money Laundering, Ultimate Beneficial Owner and Controller queries with banks, tax advisers, law firms, notary and other third parties.

 

As such, you will:

 

  • Assist with the overall co-ordination of inbound AML queries, considering and responding to queries on a full overview on the structure from top to bottom entities (including ultimate beneficial ownership and control of the structure).
  • Preparation of AML Letters including arranging for these to be signed and circulated along with the standard supporting documentation
  • Preparation, updating and reviewing of structure charts of Portfolio, Holding and Fund structures.
  • Communicate with relevant internal and external parties, both to obtain correct and appropriate AML, UBO and Controller documents and information as well as deal with queries and requests.
  • Review and provide comments on documentation prepared by external parties
  • Maintaining UBO register (RBE Luxembourg) and internal tracking file in order to ensure overview of filings/follow up.
  • Assist with any AML aspects that may be required in connection with the preparation of legal documentation (all kind of agreements (limited partnerships agreements; SPAs, loan agreements, assignment agreements, shares/TPECs redemption agreements; conditional waiver agreements, domiciliation agreement, adherence letters, deposit agreement, contribution agreements etc.), PoA, board minutes (incl. board decisions related to interim dividends distributions), incorporation documents, liquidation documents, waivers etc.
  • Liaising with notaries, Apostille and embassies, banks, lawyers and external service providers as required.
  • Assistance with the incorporation and liquidation process of entities (PoA, DBO, preparation of bank account pre-incorporation forms, liaising with the notary and banks).
  • Assist with the execution of relevant documentation in wet ink and electronically (DocuSign).
  • Contribute to relevant ad-hoc projects within the remit of the team.

 

 

Your Profile:

 

  • 1 to 2 years working experience within AML/KYC environment
  • Having some administrative/company secretarial experience would be advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of Luxembourg and/or Jersey AML laws and regulations
  • Fluent in English (spoken/written), French highly beneficial (for communicating with local authorities)
  • Relevant academic records
  • Basic understanding of fund structuring
