Anderson Wise is pleased to support its client, an internationally renowned and well-established RE Investment Manager in the continuous growth of their Luxembourg office. In this context, the internal, strategically important role of a Director Onboarding & Projects – RE Investments has been created who is responsible for coordinating the process of onboarding new RE acquisitions, restructuring and disposal on the finance & accounting platform.

Your Responsibilities:

  • When required, define the scope, coordinate and review the Financial Due diligence of new acquisitions including
    • Ensuring proper coordination between internal / external teams, Service Providers etc.
    • Acting as a liaison between internal and external parties when required and
    • Organizing and attending meetings: take minutes and ensure follow up
  • With the involvement of the CFO Europe (UK Based), coordinate and assess the onboarding of the JV Partner / Manager Financial Due Diligence covering as main areas
    • Authorizing and processing transactions
    • Maintaining financial and other records
    • Compliance with Standard Reporting Requirements
    • Cash management and segregation of assets
    • Information Technology and
    • Monitoring compliance
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers and assist them to produce the quarterly reporting in line with group requirements (first two quarters) and helping the team in charge of that deal. Including the Reconciliation of Reporting with investment Memo
  • As part of the acquisitions, review of operational transaction documents (incl. purchase, sale, financing, engagement letters,…), follow-up / review financing structures and documentation and liaise with Legal/Tax teams as appropriate and validation of the Summary files.
  • Coordination of  the Non-Luxembourg Audit process (UK, DE,...) including scoping and actual vs. planning tracker. Key point of contact for the Management of the audit for non-lux companies - including USA auditors inquiries
  • Develop your leadership
    • Invest time and effort in developing colleagues, and focus on coaching / monitoring the tasks under your supervision.
    • To continue to develop their accounting skills by better assimilating the tax, legal and financing aspect of the deals structure.
    • Develop the team spirit and ensure proper cohesion of the team
  • Global Assistance, coordination and review of external pack (non-Lux) – in case of restructuring, refinancing and disposals
    • Identify risks and manage issues
    • Monitor the progression of the deal
    • Ensuring proper coordination between internal / external teams, Property Managers, Service Providers etc.
    • Sharing expertise and providing the required information linked to the set-up and on boarding of new real estate acquisitions onto the ERP system (Due Diligence, Tax Memo, accounting data, funds flows etc.);
    • Participating to the completion of deal acquisitions:
    • Acting as a liaison between internal and external parties when required;
    • Organizing and attending meetings: take minutes and ensure follow up
    • Supervise accounting team resources as needed to execute the planning and delivery of responsibilities


Your profile:

  • University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, any other language would be an advantage
  • Finance background with good knowledge of accounting and ability to navigate through an ERP system
  • Knowledge of Real Estate investments
  • Proficiency with MS Office standard applications
  • Sense of ownership, solution-oriented approach/ problem-solving aptitude
  • High sense of organization and detail-orientation
  • Prior experience leading/supervising a team is preferred
  • Good knowledge in reporting and consolidation
  • Has a professional manner and a high energy level; exhibits positive attitude and flexibility
  • Ability to handle and prioritize a wide variety of situations and challenges
  • Curious and enthusiasm for business related matters
  • Manages stress well and uses it as a positive motivator
  • Excellent management skills and interaction with team members
  • Knowledge of Yardi 7S and/or BOB 50 Expert is an advantage
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience
